Base Salary
$284k - $426k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build large-scale ranking, search, and recommendation systems.
- Architect and productionize end-to-end ML pipelines.
- Prototype model behavior and visualize results for collaboration.
- Develop embedding systems and retrieval models for real-time user service.
- Establish ML observability and performance monitoring.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to align on goals and impact.
- Mentor and guide engineers to uphold technical excellence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in applied machine learning focused on search or recommendation systems.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying production ML systems for millions of users.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Proficiency in backend development and integrating ML systems into production.
- Ability to visualize ML outputs in interactive UI contexts.
- Expertise in data pipelines, feature stores, and model observability.
- Deep understanding of embedding-based retrieval and ranking algorithms.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineers, designers, and PMs.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and driving technical alignment.
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
