Base Salary
$178k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain threat models for cloud-hosted web applications.
- Perform manual and automated secure code reviews, primarily in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Develop security automation tools and conduct adversarial security analysis.
- Provide security training, outreach, architecture guidance, and design guidance to application development teams.
- Solve complex systemic security problems and develop novel mitigation approaches.
- Use data to influence processes, priorities, strategy, and security outcomes.
- Provide technical and strategic guidance to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Mentor other engineers and lead cross-functional security improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks with command-line tools.
- 5+ years of experience identifying security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans.
- 5+ years of non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review in common programming languages.
- Knowledge of at least two of Scala, Java, Python, C, C++, or Go.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: experience applying threat modeling or other risk-identification techniques or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with security in service-oriented architectures, microservices, and web services.
