Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and derive software design and performance requirements.
- Design, code, modify, debug, and integrate software systems and applications.
- Develop algorithms, database interfaces, queries, and data repository solutions.
- Develop and customize applications involving Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog, ITOM, ITSM, HRSD, CSM, and Service Portal capabilities.
- Review and test software components, execute test procedures, resolve software problem reports, and perform quality control.
- Prepare and review software and system documentation and recommend improvements to development standards and processes.
- Analyze system performance, data usage, system flows, work processes, and problem areas to develop software solutions.
- Coordinate software installation and monitor equipment functioning against operational specifications.
- Confer with system, hardware, and other software engineers to derive requirements and understand project constraints.
- Serve as an appropriate-level team lead and oversee one or more software development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, with four years of additional similar software engineering experience accepted as a substitute.
- Four years of IT application systems experience in technology solutions delivery.
- Two years of experience developing and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
- Required ITILv2 certification.
- Required TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and with databases, software development, application integration, and complex algorithms.
