Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements and derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Design, code, modify, debug, and integrate software systems and applications.
  • Develop algorithms, database interfaces, queries, and data repository solutions.
  • Develop and customize applications involving Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog, ITOM, ITSM, HRSD, CSM, and Service Portal capabilities.
  • Review and test software components, execute test procedures, resolve software problem reports, and perform quality control.
  • Prepare and review software and system documentation and recommend improvements to development standards and processes.
  • Analyze system performance, data usage, system flows, work processes, and problem areas to develop software solutions.
  • Coordinate software installation and monitor equipment functioning against operational specifications.
  • Confer with system, hardware, and other software engineers to derive requirements and understand project constraints.
  • Serve as an appropriate-level team lead and oversee one or more software development teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, with four years of additional similar software engineering experience accepted as a substitute.
  • Four years of IT application systems experience in technology solutions delivery.
  • Two years of experience developing and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
  • Required ITILv2 certification.
  • Required TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and with databases, software development, application integration, and complex algorithms.
