Base Salary
$156k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services and distributed systems for AI applications.
- Develop APIs and orchestration services for internal AI products.
- Create reusable AI platform components, including frameworks and libraries.
- Evolve the engineering platform with modern CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Optimize AI infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Leverage Snowflake's AI ecosystem to build intelligent data applications.
- Establish engineering best practices for AI systems.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.
- Stay updated on advances in AI engineering and modern development practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python (3.11+) and experience with production-quality code.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing and CI/CD.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Hands-on experience building production AI applications using large language models.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
