Base Salary
$162k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test robust control-system features for a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Develop and maintain communication interfaces using OPC-UA, Modbus, and other industrial protocols.
- Build and refine SCADA systems and HMI designs for operator control and diagnostics.
- Participate in Scrum planning, code reviews, and daily stand-ups.
- Own unit testing, integration testing, and hardware-in-the-loop validation for new features.
- Integrate Mainspring technology with Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems and complex microgrid environments.
- Translate utility requirements and interconnection standards into functional software specifications with Product and Hardware teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in commercial power generation, industrial automation, or utility-scale energy projects.
- Expert proficiency with SCADA, HMI, and industrial controllers including PLCs/PACs.
- Deep hands-on experience with IEC 61131-3 and a strong preference for IEC 61499 experience.
- Experience developing and testing control logic for complex power sites such as microgrids and large-scale solar-plus-storage systems.
- Expert-level proficiency with OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus, and DNP3 in secure industrial environments.
- Experience with industrial serial protocols such as UART is a plus.
- Experience with grid-interconnection standards including IEEE 1547 and UL 1741.
- Knowledge of industrial-control cybersecurity frameworks such as NERC CIP.
- Ability to create technical documentation and system diagrams connecting industrial hardware and modern software.
