Base Salary

$104k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Test mission-critical software across Windows, Linux, Android, wireless services, and custom hardware systems.
  • Develop, maintain, execute, and document software test plans, procedures, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Perform functional, usability, performance, security, compatibility, ad-hoc, internationalization, regression, and test automation activities.
  • Review requirements, user stories, and backlog items to define testing scenarios and assess testability.
  • Configure test equipment, troubleshoot and isolate system failures, and collaborate with developers to prioritize and resolve bugs.
  • Demonstrate software capabilities to stakeholders and communicate issues, risks, recommendations, and test results to management and project teams.

Requirements

  • An active Secret security clearance or higher is required at the start and must remain valid throughout employment.
  • Principal level: bachelor’s degree plus 5 years, master’s degree plus 3 years, PhD plus 1 year, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Sr. Principal level: bachelor’s degree plus 8 years, master’s degree plus 6 years, PhD plus 4 years, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with diverse software or hardware testing methods throughout the development lifecycle and translating requirements or user stories into functional test plans.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, prioritization, defect documentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include TS/SCI with polygraph, Python or JavaScript scripting, Android application testing, test automation, Microsoft Azure DevOps or Jira, SmartBear TestComplete, virtual machines, UNIX command lines, computer security measures, and Agile Scrum familiarity.
