Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to build software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across teams by setting standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and enhance performance.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices to influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical communities and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 7 or more years coding with multiple listed programming languages and 3 or more years with databases and cloud technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, using AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots, observability, mentoring engineers, and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Preferred candidates have experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
