Base Salary
$187k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship catalog features across API design, business logic, data models, and React UI.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for code generation, specification-to-code translation, and automated test creation.
- Contribute to catalog modernization across the new and existing platforms.
- Write and maintain automated tests, review pull requests, and improve shared engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to refine requirements and implementation specifications.
- Instrument services with logging, metrics, and alerts, and participate in on-call and incident response.
- Document architectural decisions, contribute to RFCs or engineering wikis, and support developer tooling improvements.
Requirements
- Generally requires a minimum of 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Requires hands-on production experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
- Requires full-stack awareness and experience owning features from specification through deployment, observability, and on-call.
- Requires backend proficiency in one or more of C#/.NET, Go, Python, or Java.
- Requires proficiency with React or an equivalent modern frontend framework.
- Requires relational database experience with Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Requires knowledge of software design principles, automated testing, code review, CI/CD, REST API design, and microservice patterns.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, e-commerce or product catalog experience, high-traffic consumer application experience, globally distributed team experience, and contributions to developer tooling or SDLC improvements.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Business Suite is preferred for the latter.
