Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize backend application logic, automation nodes, and orchestration workflows using Python.
- Collaborate with Germany-based engineering teams on remote product development, feature implementation, and architecture decisions.
- Provide Level 3 technical support for complex software and robotics issues in the United States.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and debug technical components during customer installations.
- Align robotic execution logic with physical kinematics, sensor data, and control loops.
- Prototype and test workflows, software setups, and sensor integrations on real robot arms.
- Write clean, well-structured, and well-tested code and participate in code reviews and CI/CD workflows.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or a degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience in software engineering, robotics development, or industrial automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python; experience with C++, ROS/ROS2, or backend frameworks such as FastAPI is highly preferred.
- Experience combining algorithmic problem-solving with hands-on hardware or sensor troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with deploying code to physical robotic hardware, edge computing devices, or industrial factory environments.
- Strong ownership, autonomous and resourceful working style, and pragmatic approach.
- Very good English skills; German is a plus.
