Responsibilities
- Understand users’ stories and design intuitive experiences.
- Own software work from inception through delivery and ongoing improvement.
- Refactor legacy code while creating new features.
- Architect systems for robustness, extensibility, scale, sustainability, and security.
- Write quality code with the end user in mind.
- Provide code-review feedback and pair on coding tasks.
- Mentor engineers and foster their individual growth.
- Collaborate within and across teams to deliver products and advance Findhelp’s mission.
- Write technical designs and break down complex features into consistently deliverable value.
- Communicate technical needs and solutions to product partners.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience architecting features to achieve broader, long-term impact.
- Experience writing technical designs and breaking down complex features.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience with Python and ReactJS is preferred.
- Comfort working independently in a complex Python codebase or scaling up on Python quickly.
- Good understanding of SQL, ORMs, and non-relational databases.
- GCP experience is preferred, though other cloud experience is welcome.
- Understanding of web performance strategies and metrics.
- Experience with or strong understanding of microservices.
- Ability to follow through on commitments and communicate effectively with product partners.
- Interest in mentoring engineers and fostering individual growth.
