Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the third-party integration roadmap for the payment terminal ecosystem.
- Own the end-to-end integration lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, certification, and deployment.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, business teams, vendors, and QA to identify and deliver integration opportunities.
- Lead technical design, API and SDK integration, and certification processes.
- Ensure integrations comply with EMV, PCI DSS, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive quality, security, scalability, and performance optimization for integrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve integration processes and reduce time to market.
- Negotiate timelines, deliverables, and service-level agreements with external partners.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, payment trends, and terminal innovations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of experience in payment systems, POS terminals, or payment application development.
- Strong experience designing and implementing API Gateway solutions.
- Proficiency creating OpenAPI specifications and documentation using tools such as Swagger or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience developing RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with API security, scalability, and performance optimization best practices.
- Working knowledge of Java for backend API development and integration.
