Responsibilities
- Apply Zero Trust principles across defence cloud and hybrid infrastructure, including identities, devices, networks, and data.
- Embed automated compliance checks, container scanning, and vulnerability assessments into delivery pipelines.
- Enforce IAM, MFA, RBAC, ABAC, and PAM controls.
- Manage secure immutable infrastructure and network policies through Infrastructure as Code.
- Use telemetry and automated controls to detect, contain, and respond to anomalies.
- Lead Zero Trust adoption across multi-supplier teams.
- Diagnose network, identity federation, and security integration issues.
- Balance delivery pace with defence security requirements and explain complex security issues to project managers.
- Handle sensitive defence information with discretion and integrity.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Zero Trust, including NCSC and NIST frameworks, micro-segmentation, software-defined perimeters, and context-aware access.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, and on-premises virtualised infrastructure security.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Prisma Cloud, and Trivy for container security.
- Knowledge of VLANs, VPNs, proxies, firewalls, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and LDAP.
- Ability to lead adoption across multi-supplier teams and troubleshoot network, identity federation, and security integration issues.
- Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and be eligible for applicable UK Government and contractual personnel security, residency, and potentially nationality requirements.
