Responsibilities
- Drive architectural vision and strategy for enterprise delegated administration functionality across login and management capabilities.
- Implement strategic improvements to the codebase and architecture and lead major cross-team technical projects.
- Mentor and coach less experienced engineers and serve as a subject matter expert in scalable, reliable distributed systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, product designers, and customers to define and review new features.
- Build and maintain scalable backend services and public and internal APIs.
- Operate services at scale using appropriate observability tools and mechanisms.
Requirements
- Solid architectural and security knowledge with experience designing, implementing, and evolving complex distributed systems.
- Experience collaborating successfully with external teams on complex projects.
- Strong mentoring, communication, and technical leadership skills.
- Solid experience with Node.js and JavaScript or TypeScript for scalable backend services and APIs.
- Experience building frontend and full-stack applications, including single-page applications, React, and CSS.
- Understanding of SQL databases and experience debugging and optimizing tables and queries for performance under load.
- Experience with Docker and cloud environments, with AWS and Azure preferred.
- Experience operating services at scale with observability tools and mechanisms.
- Preferred experience with OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, DevOps practices, Terraform, security engineering, or application security.

- Annual base salary range of $160,000—$220,000 CAD for candidates located in Canada.
