Base Salary

$150k - $238k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain battery energy storage telemetry pipelines, data stores, and feature ingestion and storage systems for forecasting and optimization.
  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure for running and orchestrating simulations at scale.
  • Develop and operate real-time forecasting and optimization workflows that drive battery energy storage operations.
  • Support energy market integration, including data ingestion and bid management.
  • Collaborate across the full stack and team boundaries to ensure the overall product system works effectively.
  • Write well-tested and well-monitored software and iteratively improve it over time.
  • Apply AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining high system design and code standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or another discipline.
  • 2–5 years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong software design instincts and understanding of reliable, scalable, secure distributed systems.
  • Ability to use AI tools productively while maintaining system design and code quality.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, initiative, systems thinking, and ownership.
  • Commitment to writing well-tested and well-monitored software.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Rust, Python, NATS, PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, or SQLite is a plus.
  • Passion for sustainability and improving the world.

Benefits

  • Full-time position.
  • Salary range of $150,000–$237,500 USD, with compensation commensurate with experience.
