Responsibilities
- Identify repetitive and manual engineering activities suitable for automation and quantify opportunities for labor, cycle-time, and error reduction.
- Design, develop, validate, and implement machine learning, artificial intelligence, and automation solutions for engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Translate operational needs into technical solutions with cross-functional teams and develop pilots, proofs of concept, and business cases.
- Establish data requirements, data-quality controls, and model-performance metrics while monitoring implemented solutions.
- Standardize and document automated processes, validation methods, and user instructions.
- Support integration with existing engineering and manufacturing systems and provide technical guidance and user training.
- Lead or support continuous-improvement and digital-transformation initiatives, including global standardization projects.
- Manage broad-scope projects with multiple variables and stakeholders and prepare technical reports, project updates, and management presentations.
- Ensure compliance with quality, confidentiality, and data-security requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or automation environments.
- Proven experience developing and implementing machine learning, artificial intelligence, or automation solutions with measurable business impact.
- Strong programming skills with experience in data analysis and automation tools.
- Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, project-management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to lead multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with OCR, RPA, Power BI, Tableau, or similar digital platforms is preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous-improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Experience integrating manufacturing data and supporting digital-transformation initiatives is preferred.
