Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python and FastAPI backend services and APIs.
- Expose statistical models, analytical services, and machine learning solutions to frontend and external systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to operationalize computational and statistical models in production.
- Integrate services with Azure cloud components, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks Delta Lake, and Azure DevOps.
- Implement authentication, authorization, API security, error handling, logging, and performance optimization.
- Develop modular, maintainable code and automated unit tests using pytest.
- Support integration with React-based user interfaces.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and releases.
- Use MLflow and MLOps frameworks for model deployment, versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, architecture planning, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Strong Python backend development experience.
- Expertise with FastAPI, Pydantic models, asynchronous programming, modular implementation, and API design.
- Knowledge of cloud-based solutions, Azure, Databricks, and Delta Lake.
- Understanding of data science and statistical or machine learning model fundamentals.
- Experience with authentication and authorization, API security, error handling, logging, and documentation.
- Knowledge of Git versioning, pytest, MLflow, and MLOps frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists, business stakeholders, and frontend developers.
- Experience with software engineering best practices, coding standards, scalable application design, and high-volume data processing.
