Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD systems for embedded firmware from commit through release.
- Build reusable pipeline templates, automation frameworks, onboarding systems, and self-service tools for multiple product teams.
- Treat CI/CD pipelines and engineering tooling as reliable, observable, product-grade systems that are continuously improved.
- Integrate build, test, security, signing, and release workflows.
- Automate embedded build, flash, and validation workflows involving real hardware and integrate hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Measure and improve build reliability, speed, usability, and developer experience across firmware, test, and systems engineering workflows.
- Partner with engineers to identify pain points and convert them into scalable solutions.
- Define standard engineering patterns and provide technical ownership for complex systems used by other engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, firmware development, platform engineering, or a similar field.
- Strong Python development experience for automation, tooling, and engineering systems.
- Experience architecting CI/CD systems, preferably with Azure DevOps.
- Deep understanding of build systems, version control, and release workflows.
- Experience with firmware development or embedded build systems and comfort working at the boundary between software and hardware.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex systems used by other engineers.
- Experience with Azure DevOps ecosystems is preferred.
- Familiarity with test automation and hardware-in-the-loop systems is preferred.
- Experience integrating security and scanning tools into pipelines is preferred.
