Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and debug BIOS and firmware for ZT Cloud Servers.
- Review firmware and software architecture specifications and provide technical feedback.
- Create design documentation and collaborate with engineering teams on platform development.
- Plan and develop BIOS systems for reliability, compatibility, and configuration requirements.
- Develop reference code and supporting collateral.
- Participate in product development teams, platform power-on events, and cross-team validation activities.
- Implement and support features required for manufacturing validation.
- Address BIOS and software issues throughout planning, development, and validation stages.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- At least 4 years of BIOS development experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in C, C++, and x86 Assembly language.
- Understanding of operating system internals and interaction with BIOS functions.
- Knowledge of processor and enterprise system architecture.
- Experience implementing Secure Boot, SPDM, Root of Trust, TCG DICE, and NIST 800-1 requirements.
- Experience with enterprise platforms, BIOS, drivers, and I/O technologies.
- Experience developing legacy BIOS with Phoenix or AMI and hands-on experience with UEFI, EDK II, and Linux boot.
- Knowledge of x86 CPUs, memory controllers, I/O hubs, PC architecture, PCI, ACPI, DDR, and CXL.
- Working knowledge of BMC functions related to BIOS and board-level diagnostic tools or utilities.
- Experience with user interface or presentation-layer development is listed as an additional qualification.
