Responsibilities
- Contribute to Android platforms powering automotive infotainment systems.
- Lead technical teams and drive architecture concepts and decisions.
- Develop and customize Android platform components, Android HALs, device configurations, OS extensions, and middleware solutions.
- Support the full software development lifecycle for information and entertainment applications.
- Perform Android version migrations and stay current with Android platform technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues.
- Develop modules and write unit test cases, including Google compliance testing.
- Collaborate with teams using version control and AI-assisted coding tools.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of professional experience is required, including 8 or more years in the Android platform domain.
- 15 years of full-time education and a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field are required.
- In-depth AOSP/AAOS knowledge and expert-level Android Framework and customization experience are required.
- Expertise in C++, Java, Android HALs, AIDL/HIDL, Linux, Android components, device configuration, NDK, multithreaded programming, middleware, and OS concepts is required.
- Experience with Android version migrations, Git, Gerrit, GitHub, service binding, IPC communication, thread handling, and Google compliance testing is required.
- Knowledge of Java/Kotlin, design patterns, MVVM, and unit testing is required or expected at the stated proficiency levels.
- Automotive digital cockpit solutions experience is required; media and phone applications, navigation, home-screen customization, cloud communication, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN integration experience are beneficial.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and ability to understand complex systems are required.
- Experience with Android Jetpack libraries, object-oriented design patterns, and AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot is beneficial.
