Base Salary
$125k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build embedded software for critical flight and safety functions on aircraft.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to enhance flight software reliability.
- Analyze flight data to optimize software performance.
- Create metrics and debugging infrastructure for safe deployment.
- Develop tools for evaluating new sensors and microcontroller platforms.
- Address ambiguous problems and transform prototypes into scalable systems.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one strongly typed programming language such as C++, Rust, or Python.
- Experience with embedded systems, including bare metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux.
- Ability to handle edge cases for safety and reliability in deployed systems.
- Strong debugging skills and a systems mindset for problem-solving.
- Fluency in hardware/software interfaces and debugging prototype hardware.
- Willingness to work from the South San Francisco headquarters 3-4 days a week.
