Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end flow automation strategy for SaaS Platform, prioritizing critical customer journeys over exhaustive atomic coverage.
- Build and maintain Python, Playwright, and PyTest automation for UI flows, APIs, and contract coverage.
- Integrate tests into CircleCI quality gates covering pull-request smoke tests, nightly tests, and pre-release regression.
- Validate authentication, provisioning, roles and permissions, and OpenAPI contracts used by downstream products.
- Partner with Quality Engineers to convert risk and coverage signals into enforceable automation.
- Contribute improvements to the internal test framework and treat flaky tests as defects.
- Use AI tooling for test-plan generation, code review, automation scaffolding, and coverage-gap analysis.
- Mentor SDETs and support quality improvements across the organization.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software development or test automation, including designing end-to-end automation around critical flows.
- Advanced to expert Python and PyTest skills with deep Playwright and API test automation experience.
- Hands-on experience testing authentication, provisioning, roles and permissions, OAuth, SAML, SSO, API contracts, and OpenAPI specifications.
- Advanced SQL skills and strong Linux fundamentals, with working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and TLS.
- Working proficiency with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines; CircleCI experience is preferred.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development and testing tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or comparable tools.
- Experience creating a test automation framework from scratch and exposure to quality KPIs, QaaS initiatives, and PCI compliance in payments or identity systems.
- Experience with Qase or TestRail, Jira, and mentoring SDETs.
- This position is preferably based in Brno, Czech Republic.
