Responsibilities
- Implement and advocate for resilience patterns such as Feature Flags and Circuit Breakers.
- Champion production readiness by setting technical directions and automating processes.
- Collaborate across teams to embed best practices for observability and operational excellence.
- Run monthly training workshops on Site Reliability Engineering concepts.
- Enable safer release procedures like blue-green deployments.
- Identify solutions to reduce friction in production service management.
- Facilitate incident reviews and participate in cross-functional squads.
- Apply Chaos Engineering practices during disaster recovery exercises.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with distributed systems.
- Experience facilitating Incident Reviews and writing post-mortem documents.
- Strong educator with experience in teaching or creating documentation.
- Good coding skills in relevant languages (e.g., PHP, Java, Python, Go).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Driven by challenges and capable of navigating ambiguity.
- Advocate for sociotechnical systems.
