Base Salary
$195k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Extend Circle’s in-house blockchain systems infrastructure to support tokenization.
- Build and own scalable microservices and reliable, secure APIs for transferring value and assets across blockchain and traditional banking protocols.
- Develop publicly accessible APIs that simplify developer integration with complex payment systems.
- Integrate platform services with banks and financial technologies.
- Design and document system architecture, procedures, testing procedures, and quality standards.
- Build infrastructure using data sources, messaging systems, and APIs to deliver payment experiences.
- Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions and restore normal system operation.
- Provide technical leadership on architecture and system design for teams of more than four people.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and shape features.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience in object-oriented languages such as Go or Java.
- Computer Science degree or closely related degree, or foreign equivalent.
- Technical leadership of teams larger than four on architecture and system design.
- Expertise in at least one of API design, payments processing, or blockchains.
- Deep experience with scalable production software architecture, design, and deployment.
- Understanding of Web3, blockchain, and smart contract business logic.
- Experience with RESTful API design and development principles.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS.
- Experience with SQL databases and schema design.
- Strong focus on coding standards, code quality, and test coverage.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with remote teams.
- Self-directed, curious, and comfortable working at a fast pace with limited supervision.

- Base pay range of $195,000-$257,500, with compensation determined by experience, skills, qualifications, location, and organizational needs.
