Responsibilities
- Administer Linux environments, preferably SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
- Design and implement automated deployment, image management, and configuration management processes.
- Maintain and optimize development servers, testing environments, deployment pipelines, and engineering tools.
- Install, configure, and manage ticketing systems, problem report repositories, Atlassian products, and database services.
- Design, deploy, and scale highly available production infrastructure for customer-facing products.
- Develop backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
- Build and maintain scripts and custom software for infrastructure automation and performance optimization.
- Administer virtualized environments and containerized workloads.
- Implement system hardening and infrastructure security policies.
- Deploy and manage monitoring and logging solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead production incident response.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong Linux systems administration experience; SUSE/SLES experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with AutoYaST, Ansible, or SUSE Kiwi.
- Advanced Bash and Python skills, with systems-level programming experience in C++ or Go.
- Experience with vSphere, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Understanding of system hardening and infrastructure security principles.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Zabbix, or comparable monitoring stacks.
- Experience installing and configuring enterprise tools, Atlassian products, ticketing systems, and database services.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Relevant certifications such as SUSE Certified Engineer, Red Hat, or CKA are preferred.
- Experience managing physical hardware and data center operations is preferred.
