Base Salary
$123k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for Amazon EKS self-service functionality and maintain abstractions for segmentation, namespace governance, workload scaling, multi-tenancy, ingress and egress, and traceable traffic.
- Implement observability standards that expose request paths, policies, identities, routes, outcomes, saturation, and cost across environments.
- Create approachable documentation, diagrams, and diagnostic workflows to reduce support cycles.
- Support code lifecycle and platform adoption through versioning, migrations, deprecations, usage telemetry, and removal of unused resources.
- Build automated policies and processes for deployment practices, code hygiene, and testing standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience building and operating distributed systems.
- Proficiency in at least one of Go, TypeScript, Python, or C#.
- Experience with disciplined source-control workflows, including branching, reviews, and automated gates.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD build pipelines using GitHub or GitLab, Amazon EKS, and Datadog, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes CRDs and operators, admission guardrails, linting, simulation, and automated tests.
- Preferred experience with Terraform or CDK, GitOps, progressive or canary rollouts, policy-as-code, and observability practices including metrics, tracing, structured logs, and SLOs.
- Must be a U.S. person under ITAR rules or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license.
