Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business partners to understand data requirements.
- Work with engineering and product teams to collect necessary data.
- Design and implement large-scale data models and pipelines.
- Develop data quality checks and conduct QA.
- Enhance the reliability and scalability of ETL processes.
- Manage a portfolio of data products ensuring high-quality data.
- Support and onboard new engineers joining the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Experience with ETL orchestration tools like Airflow or Flink.
- Expertise in SQL and distributed computing.
- 3+ years of experience with distributed data ecosystems like Spark or Hive.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Redshift, or PostgreSQL.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical teams.
- Knowledge of reporting tools like Tableau or Looker.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-organizing environment.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
