Responsibilities
- Lead teams in designing, automating, building, managing, and optimizing modern digital service platforms.
- Design, test, monitor, operate, enhance, and improve platform services in production environments.
- Use continuous delivery, automation, configuration management, and platform orchestration techniques to release operationally ready software.
- Build and support digital service platforms, including architecture, design, estimation, planning, and MVP iteration.
- Apply Site Reliability Engineering tools, techniques, and processes for monitoring, modernization, reliability improvement, and cost optimization.
- Use AWS SaaS and PaaS offerings to solve business problems.
- Provide technical leadership, interact with customers, communicate technical designs, and make transparent technical decisions.
- Mentor colleagues, share knowledge through communities of practice, and foster a DevOps culture.
- Manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff, including employee performance and career development.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical designs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience leading teams and supporting a DevOps culture across complex delivery or support projects.
- SC Clearance is required.
- Significant expertise designing, building, testing, automating, monitoring, operating, enhancing, or improving modern digital service platforms in production.
- Experience with continuous delivery, automation, and platform orchestration using multiple configuration management tools.
- Demonstrable experience building or supporting modern digital service platforms, including architecture, design, estimation, planning, and MVP iteration using a modern agile approach.
- Experience championing Site Reliability Engineering tooling, techniques, and processes.
- Experience using AWS SaaS or PaaS offerings to solve business problems.
- AWS public cloud certification is desirable.
- Certification in a specialization such as Kubernetes CKAD is desirable.
