Responsibilities
- Design, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production data and ML pipelines, including batch and streaming workloads.
- Integrate and operate ML/AI models while handling inputs, outputs, data changes, lifecycle considerations, assumptions, and limitations.
- Build production-grade solutions using Python, SQL, JSON/YAML, Git, Spark, and PySpark.
- Implement and debug pipelines on Azure using Data Lake, Databricks, and Synapse.
- Use ML experimentation tools including MLflow, Weights & Biases, and Databricks ML.
- Monitor systems through logs, metrics, alerts, and observability practices to ensure operational stability.
- Apply data validation, sanity checks, numerical precision awareness, idempotent processing, performance profiling, and safe reruns.
- Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices for data and ML workloads.
- Apply basic access control and secure data-handling practices in regulated financial-services environments.
- Collaborate with backend, platform, business, technical, and non-technical stakeholders in distributed teams.
- Participate in Agile delivery, documentation, incident awareness, compliance activities, and structured problem management.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
- 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working in production data and AI environments.
- Experience in incident and support environments.
- Production experience with Python, SQL, and SQL-based database systems.
- Knowledge of Spark/PySpark, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, CI/CD, DevOps tools, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Understanding of monitoring tools, logs, and alerts.
- Professional English at C1 level in spoken and written communication.
- French or Dutch is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, structured, accountable approach to ownership, workload prioritization, incident management, and problem management.
