Responsibilities
- Shape, scale, and govern ACI’s internal platforms as products across build-time and run-time domains.
- Define platform reference architectures, standards, design guardrails, golden paths, roadmaps, ownership models, success metrics, and adoption goals.
- Lead architecture reviews and guide teams toward scalable, cloud-agnostic, hybrid, and secure solutions.
- Create self-service, automated, documented developer workflows for building, testing, deploying, and operating software.
- Lead everything-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, CI/CD, testing, artifact management, and release automation practices.
- Guide Kubernetes and OpenShift platform support across AWS, Azure, GCP, customer-managed, SaaS, and on-premises environments.
- Define operational tooling for installation, upgrades, health checks, disaster recovery, and secrets rotation.
- Mentor senior and staff-level engineers, support onboarding, promote inner-sourcing, and provide technical stewardship.
- Champion responsible AI-assisted engineering and prototype AI-enabled platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and reliability.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, cloud, or platform engineering roles.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift, CI/CD systems and SDLC tooling, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
- Ability to influence architecture without formal authority and communicate complex topics to diverse audiences.
- Preferred: experience operating enterprise-scale platforms with strong governance requirements.
- Preferred: experience in customer-managed or regulated environments and defining or operating an Internal Developer Platform.
- Preferred: familiarity with DevSecOps tooling, policy-as-code, FinOps practices, and inner-source initiatives.
