Responsibilities
- Research a publicly reported vulnerability in Android or iOS.
- Assess the vulnerability’s impact and develop a proof-of-concept demonstrating that impact.
- Evaluate existing mitigations and determine whether similar vulnerabilities may remain in related software.
- Develop mitigations against the vulnerability or similar vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- This is an undergraduate or pre-university internship project.
- Experience with C/C++ programming and mobile application development.
- Strong interest in mobile device security.
- Basic understanding of reverse engineering, ARM assembly language, and software vulnerabilities such as buffer overflows is highly recommended.
- Applicants should indicate a preference for Android or iOS, if applicable.
