Responsibilities
- Assist with custom application development, maintenance, and support for Information Services.
- Develop and optimize data models, data pipelines, and cloud data platform solutions using Snowflake and AWS.
- Implement Snowflake access controls and scalable warehouse or lakehouse patterns.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data entities, relationships, metrics, and data product requirements.
- Apply ontology, semantic modeling, taxonomy, business glossary, or knowledge graph concepts as relevant.
- Support governed data products for analytics, AI, or application use cases.
- Contribute to deployment workflows, automated testing, and CI/CD processes for data pipelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least one year of experience as a software developer or software engineer is required.
- Strong experience in data engineering, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and cloud data platform development.
- Hands-on Snowflake experience, including data modeling, performance optimization, access controls, and scalable warehouse or lakehouse patterns.
- Experience working in AWS cloud environments.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or another data engineering language.
- Ability to work with business stakeholders to define data entities, relationships, metrics, and data product requirements.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: experience building governed data products for analytics, AI, or application use cases.
- Preferred: experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and deployment workflows for data pipelines.
- Preferred: experience in complex enterprise data environments with multiple systems, domains, and stakeholder groups.
