Responsibilities
- Assist with custom application development, maintenance, and support for Information Services.
- Develop and optimize Snowflake data models, access controls, and scalable warehouse or lakehouse patterns.
- Build and support data engineering, ETL/ELT, and cloud data platform solutions in AWS environments.
- Define data entities, relationships, metrics, and data product requirements with business stakeholders.
- Document solutions and contribute to governed data products for analytics, AI, or application use cases.
- Support deployment workflows and automated testing for data pipelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 1 year of experience as a software developer or software engineer is required.
- Strong experience in data engineering, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and cloud data platform development.
- Hands-on Snowflake experience, including data modeling, performance optimization, access controls, and scalable warehouse or lakehouse patterns.
- Experience working in AWS cloud environments.
- Knowledge of ontology, semantic modeling, taxonomies, business glossaries, or knowledge graph concepts.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or another data engineering language.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience includes building governed data products, working with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, deployment workflows, and complex enterprise data environments.
