Responsibilities

  • Assist with custom application development, maintenance, and support for Information Services.
  • Develop and optimize Snowflake data models, access controls, and scalable warehouse or lakehouse patterns.
  • Build and support data engineering, ETL/ELT, and cloud data platform solutions in AWS environments.
  • Define data entities, relationships, metrics, and data product requirements with business stakeholders.
  • Document solutions and contribute to governed data products for analytics, AI, or application use cases.
  • Support deployment workflows and automated testing for data pipelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a software developer or software engineer is required.
  • Strong experience in data engineering, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and cloud data platform development.
  • Hands-on Snowflake experience, including data modeling, performance optimization, access controls, and scalable warehouse or lakehouse patterns.
  • Experience working in AWS cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of ontology, semantic modeling, taxonomies, business glossaries, or knowledge graph concepts.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Python or another data engineering language.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred experience includes building governed data products, working with CI/CD, Git, automated testing, deployment workflows, and complex enterprise data environments.
