Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and technical direction for scalable systems spanning multiple teams.
- Set standards for AI-native development, including coaching engineers on AI coding assistants, agentic development tools, and AI-assisted code review.
- Introduce architectural patterns and engineering standards adopted across the organization.
- Define code review, quality, reliability, security, and operational standards.
- Own strategic technical direction and multi-quarter roadmaps for the platform area.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews and architectural discussions.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact between the Bangalore team and Xometry’s global engineering leadership.
- Establish engineering practices and help build a high-performing India PDT team.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software development experience and a track record leading complex, multi-quarter initiatives.
- Deep expertise with Python for backend services and APIs, React/TypeScript for frontend development, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on fluency with modern AI development tools and demonstrated success using them to improve delivery speed and quality.
- Significant experience with system architecture, microservices design, and distributed systems operating across teams or organizational boundaries.
- A track record of creating architectural patterns adopted as organizational standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
