Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software in C, C++, and Python for satellite and ground systems.
- Write device drivers, system applications, Linux kernel drivers, and software interacting with microcontrollers.
- Develop device-tree overlays and support SPI, I3C, I2C, CAN, GPIO, DMA, and UIO interfaces.
- Build and maintain Yocto/OpenEmbedded distributions, including BitBake recipes, layers, A/B partition boot, secure boot, eMMC and NOR storage, and SWUpdate image generation.
- Develop software for Embedded Linux and bare-metal/AMP platforms.
- Support board bring-up, integration testing, and hardware-software debugging using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Develop kernel features for AMD/Xilinx Versal and Zynq SoCs.
- Take software from requirements and design through coding, testing, and product deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of embedded firmware development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded or a comparable embedded Linux build system.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: 3+ years working on networking or consumer devices using embedded Linux, Yocto, or bare-metal targets.
- Preferred: experience with eBPF/libbpf or Lua tooling.
- Preferred: 2+ years of manufacturing diagnostics across HVT, EVT, DVT, and PVT phases.
- Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee due to export control requirements.
