Base Salary
$204k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create reliable Android components and flows using modern technologies such as Jetpack Compose.
- Build in-car interface features that clearly communicate the vehicle’s intentions and inspire passenger trust.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, Product Managers, and Vehicle Software Engineers to launch in-car experiences.
- Design and maintain software controlling in-car displays, audio, and climate systems.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle with a focus on quality and robustness for safety-sensitive systems.
- Design and implement significant features or components independently, lead technical designs, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of Android application development experience, including testing, maintaining, and launching features.
- Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and strong understanding of Android internals.
- Preferred: Android platform/AOSP development, custom Android builds, embedded systems, automotive software, performance analysis and optimization for resource-constrained devices, or full-stack experience integrating server-side APIs.
- Preferred: Strong interest in pixel-perfect UI and fluid user experiences.
