Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python services and APIs for NetBrain’s automation platform.
- Work with enterprise customers and internal stakeholders to understand networking requirements and translate them into platform features.
- Own API design, feature decomposition, and technical design reviews for new platform capabilities.
- Apply software engineering practices including code reviews, design patterns, edge-case handling, failure modeling, and production-readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration design and delivery and support customer platform cases when needed.
Requirements
- Require 2–4 years of hands-on Python development experience focused on code quality, design patterns, and API design.
- Require strong networking knowledge covering routing and switching, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, RSTP, QoS, firewall concepts, SD-WAN, and cloud networking.
- Require experience designing API integrations and building production-grade services.
- Require the ability to address edge cases, failure scenarios, and production concerns rigorously.
- Require strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort engaging directly with enterprise customers.
- Require a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Networking or cloud certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS, or Azure, and experience with cloud-native architectures or AI tooling, are preferred.
