Responsibilities

  • Support development, validation, and release of embedded controller software and calibrations.
  • Create product plans, track program milestones, and communicate delivery status.
  • Coordinate requirements, design reviews, and technical issue resolution with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Investigate product issues through the Problem Resolution Tracking System (PRTS), including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Create and execute controller validation plans covering bench, integration, safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory testing.
  • Manage software, calibration, and controller part numbers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support controller and system safety investigations, quality improvement, continuous improvement, program launches, and vehicle production activities.

Requirements

  • Pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Graduate between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Be able to work full-time, 40 hours per week, in Southeast Michigan.
  • Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to legally operate a motor vehicle when required.
  • Preferred qualifications include automotive, robotics, or hands-on engineering project experience; knowledge of software verification and validation; embedded control systems, hardware/software integration, ECUs, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, diagnostics, functional safety, cybersecurity, systems engineering, and product development or release processes.
  • Experience with data analysis, scripting, automation, or Generative AI tools is preferred.
