Responsibilities
- Lead major software engineering projects and complex assignments from planning through implementation and delivery.
- Develop technical strategies, architecture proposals, solution definitions, technology road maps, and proofs of concept.
- Lead day-to-day system development, maintenance, quality assurance, quality control, and service-level activities.
- Define project scope, requirements, estimates, quality metrics, test coverage, and development processes.
- Oversee unit, system/integration, and performance testing, along with requirements, architecture, design, code, and security reviews.
- Manage production incidents and problem resolution, including root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Coordinate distributed and offshore development activities and support project and software metrics reporting.
- Mentor, coach, and train team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with Mastercard standards, audit requirements, security policies, and documentation practices.
- Collaborate with business and technical partners, project managers, vendors, management, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in a related field, with 5 to 8 years of experience delivering secure solutions in the financial services sector preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn and implement new technologies, frameworks, and tools while managing multiple concurrent activities.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and collaborate within a diverse, geographically distributed, matrix-based team.
