Senior Software Engineer | Remote | AI SaaS Software Role
Process StreetResponsibilities
- Architect and evolve backend systems with Scala, Play, Postgres, and AWS.
- Design and deploy scalable APIs and AI-assisted services.
- Own feature development end to end from ideation through production.
- Build frontend features using React, Chakra, Storybook, and modern state tools.
- Develop agent-driven development workflows and internal engineering tooling.
- Use Claude Code, Codex, and similar tools for implementation, debugging, and refactoring.
- Optimize frontend, backend, and AI-assisted pipeline performance.
- Define best practices for AI-native software development.
- Eventually lead a small team of 2–3 engineers and shape how they work with AI.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong backend systems experience with Scala or Java, Ruby, or C#.
- Strong JavaScript and React experience.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS products.
- Deep familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
- Comfort with multi-session, agent-driven workflows and guiding AI agents.
- Experience designing systems rather than only implementing features.
- Excellent written communication for an async-first culture.
- Availability to live in a timezone between UTC -6 and UTC +2.
- Experience with functional programming, internal developer tools or platforms, prompt systems, or reusable AI workflows is beneficial.
