Base Salary
$159k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct security design reviews, code reviews, architecture assessments, threat modeling, and penetration testing for production AI systems.
- Identify vulnerabilities and work with Forward Deployed Engineering teams to implement fixes before production release.
- Build and maintain security automation, including scanning tools, security gates, guardrail testing scripts, secrets detection, and dependency vulnerability checks.
- Implement controls for AI-specific threats such as prompt injection, unsafe outputs, data isolation, model API vulnerabilities, and guardrail weaknesses.
- Support incident response, triage, root cause analysis, and remediation for production AI systems.
- Create reusable security playbooks, runbooks, accelerator modules, templates, and reference configurations.
- Work alongside delivery teams in customer environments and travel up to 25%.
Requirements
- US citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
- At least two years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
- At least two years of non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating tasks with command-line tools.
- At least two years of non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review in common programming languages.
- At least two years of experience identifying security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans.
- At least two years of hands-on experience building AI or agentic systems.
- Preferred experience includes service-oriented architectures, microservices, web services, AWS technologies, security and compliance standards, and a top-secret-or-higher US government clearance.
- Preferred knowledge of at least two of Scala, Java, Python, C, C++, or Go.
