Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reusable AI capabilities across models, tools, APIs, and platforms.
- Develop and maintain Riskified’s internal MCP server for secure AI-agent access to company data stores.
- Create evaluation frameworks and AI guardrails for model reliability, performance, and safety.
- Build and optimize retrieval-augmented generation systems and infrastructure for autonomous and interactive agents.
- Own projects end to end from stakeholder requirements through development, deployment, and ongoing operation.
- Establish sustainable AI engineering practices, advocate for AI engineering, and guide teams in using shared platforms and tools.
- Champion AI readiness, track company-wide adoption, and collaborate across the organization to accelerate AI productization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend and server-side development experience building complex, highly scalable systems.
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, with Python preferred.
- Experience collaborating with product, business development, account management, and other non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong product-oriented thinking and ability to elicit, refine, and prioritize requirements.
- Some DevOps experience and willingness to develop, deploy, and operate projects end to end.
- Ability to influence without authority and communicate with engineers, managers, VP-level, and C-suite stakeholders.
- High proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent tools.
- Hands-on experience with a public cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or Copilot CLI, Strands Agents or comparable frameworks, RAG architectures, Bedrock, MCP, and containerized environments.
