Base Salary
$190k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build new products and features from 0 to 1.
- Own projects from conception through shipping, delivering modular, maintainable, and high-quality code.
- Build and operate backend systems with attention to performance, scale, security, reliability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to product direction through user conversations, feature brainstorming, and roadmap planning.
- Provide code reviews and technical guidance to peers.
- Support team building by interviewing candidates and referring engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, databases, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ownership of systems running at scale, with an emphasis on reliability and performance.
- Product-oriented engineering mindset and understanding of the rationale behind technical work.
- Experience collaborating closely with Product and Design partners.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- Preferred experience with e-commerce or consumer platforms, loyalty or rewards programs, marketing or lifecycle systems, or large-scale high-traffic consumer systems.
