Base Salary
$86k - $129k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests for software components and integrated systems.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, automation scripts, traceability records, and validation documentation.
- Participate in requirements, design, code, and test reviews.
- Analyze test results, investigate defects, and perform root cause analysis on complex software and system issues.
- Recommend and implement improvements to functionality, scalability, performance, reliability, and testability.
- Use approved AI and GenAI tools for test planning, test case generation, automation development, defect triage, root cause analysis, and coverage-gap identification.
- Evaluate and validate AI-generated artifacts for accuracy, traceability, security, and compliance.
- Use quality data and AI-assisted analytics to identify product trends, release risks, and additional validation needs.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Program teams to improve validation workflows and release readiness.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity through tools, automation, AI-enabled methods, and quality engineering practices.
- Protect intellectual property, customer data, and confidential information while following company and responsible AI policies.
- Assist less experienced staff with established testing practices, processes, methods, and tools.
- Build productive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders and address project needs or issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience focused on system software testing and test automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software development and testing life cycles.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar.
- Familiarity with operating systems, algorithms, software development frameworks, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing complex software systems.
- Familiarity with approved AI-assisted development or testing tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or AI-based test generation tools.
- Ability to critically assess and validate AI-generated outputs before implementation.
- Understanding of data privacy, security, intellectual property protection, and responsible AI practices.
- Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when necessary.
- Must be able to work at least three days per week in the office.
