Responsibilities
- Architect, design, upgrade, and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS, RDS, and distributed systems patterns.
- Drive infrastructure roadmap initiatives focused on reliability, recoverability, scalability, capacity planning, benchmarking, and stress testing.
- Define and maintain SLAs, alerts, anomaly detection, and observability practices across infrastructure.
- Build consistency and scalability across distributed microservices while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Lead AI enablement efforts for infrastructure reliability, developer productivity, and internal tooling.
- Establish engineering practices for observability, security, and CI/CD.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and translate business goals into technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience, including significant SRE and backend experience.
- Recent experience deploying significant changes to a production application or infrastructure configuration within the past 30 days.
- Strong Golang proficiency and experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Expertise with SQL-based relational databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL, and performance optimization of schemas and queries.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and New Relic.
- Understanding of distributed systems patterns including transactional outbox, event-driven architecture, stream processing, and queues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, Aurora RDS, data engineering, data pipelines, data warehousing, CI/CD, Kubernetes, containerized microservices, and AI developer tooling including Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, and Cursor.
- Demonstrated leadership in technical direction, system reliability, and scaling high-traffic services.
