Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement machine learning methods based on predictive finite element simulations and important design load cases.
  • Develop models that assess potential design risks and optimize design trade-offs.
  • Implement and optimize machine learning models for large-scale datasets on scalable ML platforms.
  • Work as an integrated member of the product design FEA team from the earliest stages of product development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product design and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis or other numerical methods in computational physics and mechanics.
  • Proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning packages.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred expertise in graph neural networks, convolutional neural networks, and transformer-based architectures.
  • Preferred ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • Publications in top journals or conferences are preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
