Responsibilities
- Design, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models for recommendations, predictions, classification, and personalization.
- Build and maintain scalable data and machine learning pipelines in a modern cloud environment.
- Use AI-assisted, spec-driven workflows to create tested, production-ready solutions.
- Build reusable AI skills, agents, and knowledge-based tools for data, ML, and engineering teams.
- Apply AI to improve existing systems, automate repetitive work, and reduce technical debt.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, content, commercial, and marketing teams.
- Monitor models and pipelines for reliability, interpretability, and effectiveness.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience applying machine learning or data science in production.
- Solid understanding of data, statistics, core machine learning algorithms, and selecting and evaluating appropriate approaches.
- Experience taking machine learning projects from problem definition and experimentation through deployment and monitoring.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using Spark or similar data-processing technologies.
- Experience building data pipelines and using orchestration tools such as Airflow.
- Practical experience with or strong curiosity about generative AI, AI agents, and AI-assisted engineering.
- Ability to review and validate AI-generated output rather than assuming it is correct.
- Clear communication and a collaborative, curious approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with recommender systems, search, ranking, personalization, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, or internal knowledge tools is a bonus.
- Familiarity with A/B testing, causal inference, MLOps, CI/CD, and observability is a bonus.
- Experience in streaming, media, e-commerce, or another digital product environment is a bonus.
