Responsibilities
- Drive technical and consumption strategy for complex customer engagements, influencing platform adoption and revenue growth.
- Own senior-level technical relationships and advise executives and technical champions on enterprise data and AI strategy.
- Lead architecture engagements involving multi-workload platforms, enterprise migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
- Design and support GenAI and agentic AI workflows, including Agent Bricks, AI Functions, and LLMOps use cases.
- Develop competitive strategies and lead complex enterprise evaluations and platform displacements.
- Coordinate delivery specialists, specialist solutions architects, partners, and product teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and architects on technical depth, customer engagement, and use-case prioritization.
- Create customer-facing content, workshops, and community contributions for field engineering thought leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in global or cross-region, multi-architect account teams involving solutions architecture, principal engineering, or customer-facing technical pre-sales leadership.
- Strong hands-on technical background and coding proficiency in Python and SQL; Spark/PySpark experience is preferred.
- Expertise in distributed systems, streaming and real-time architectures, lakehouse design, data governance, and cloud-native platforms.
- Expert-level knowledge of Databricks or a comparable modern data and AI platform, with demonstrated ability to learn rapidly.
- Recognized expertise in an area such as real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry-specific solutions.
- Ability to influence Directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders, conduct value-based selling, generate technical vision, and lead competitive displacements.
- Proven ability to connect technical architecture decisions to business outcomes, consumption growth, and platform adoption.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Databricks certifications, prior experience with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Google, Microsoft, or a leading data and AI company, and life sciences or pharma experience are preferred.
- Published thought leadership, open-source contributions, and GxP experience are preferred.
