Base Salary
$204k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable pipelines processing petabytes of complex sensor data for model training and evaluation.
- Develop infrastructure for reliable, high-quality datasets supporting real-time on-car models and large-scale offboard foundation models.
- Build an automated, unified data flywheel connecting data curation to model training through data generation and ingestion.
- Develop infrastructure for Perception-wide model training and release-ready model packaging.
- Maintain critical data-generation infrastructure and data refreshes for the Perception team.
- Automate data-quality and validation checks for dataset integrity, consistency, and trustworthiness.
- Collaborate with ML engineers, research scientists, and core infrastructure teams to deliver ML workflows.
Requirements
- Outstanding programming skills in C++ or Python.
- Experience in ML data engineering, including data pipelines, data curation, and data balancing.
- Experience with the ML development lifecycle, including data engineering, model training, model evaluation, and model deployment.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree plus 5+ years of industry experience, or a PhD plus 2+ years of industry experience.
- Preferred experience building large-scale data processing or retrieval systems and pipelines using technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Beam, Google Cloud Dataflow, AWS Data Pipeline, Faiss, or ScaNN.
- Preferred experience building automated ML pipelines, including data pipelines and continuous model training and evaluation pipelines.
- Preferred experience supporting data users in cross-functional settings and collaborating with infrastructure stakeholders.
