Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and maintainable internal software tools.
- Design and implement data integrations with enterprise engineering and construction tools such as Autodesk.
- Develop sophisticated web applications and platforms, making technical decisions about frameworks, infrastructure, and deployment.
- Evaluate third-party software and provide build-versus-buy and integration recommendations.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to implement production-ready ML, RL, and LLM-powered features.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.
- Contribute to technical strategy and long-term technology roadmap planning.
- Own production reliability and performance optimization for critical systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering complex production systems.
- Deep full-stack expertise spanning frontend frameworks, backend services, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven leadership experience through management, technical leadership, or cross-functional initiative ownership.
- Strong system design and architecture experience, including distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with React or Vue, Node.js, Python or Go, and AWS or GCP.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience translating business requirements from non-technical stakeholders into robust technical solutions.
- Experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, or ML/AI integration is preferred.
- Startup experience and domain experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or capital projects are beneficial but not required.
