Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and deploy full-stack software solutions across frontend and backend systems.
- Build web applications, reusable UI components, design systems, C++ backend services, Qt desktop applications, APIs, and service-oriented components.
- Lead architecture, technical implementation, design reviews, code reviews, documentation, and complex technical initiatives.
- Integrate algorithms and develop rendering, visualization, and 3D graphics capabilities.
- Support migration from Qt Widgets applications to modern web technologies and develop tools for product development, manufacturing, service, and operations.
- Investigate product issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and support internal testing and external customers.
- Work within FDA design controls and regulated product development processes while maintaining software performance, security, reliability, and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience spanning frontend and backend technologies.
- Expert proficiency in modern C++ and strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with Svelte, React, Vue, or similar frontend frameworks and with Qt desktop applications.
- Experience with software architecture, design patterns, scalable applications, reusable components, libraries, and frameworks.
- Experience developing service-based systems and APIs with gRPC and/or Protocol Buffers, including reactive programming and state management patterns.
- Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence and with AI-assisted development tools while maintaining software quality.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, work independently, and lead technical initiatives within small teams.
- Preferred experience includes rendering and visualization systems, 3D graphics, linear algebra, algorithm development or integration, image processing, CMake, web performance optimization, Python, Bash, PowerShell, robotics, medical devices, imaging systems, and regulated software.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
