Responsibilities
- Design and maintain testing frameworks supporting virtual and bare-metal hardware environments.
- Build and enhance automated software update pipelines for satellites in orbit.
- Create tools and workflows that reduce friction in the satellite software development lifecycle.
- Architect and implement a resilient, high-performance satellite software framework.
- Provide emergency operational support, fix bugs, and maintain existing code.
- Collaborate across software research, embedded development, satellite operations, and other engineering functions.
Requirements
- Have 4+ years of working experience in software engineering.
- Hold a computer science degree or have equivalent work experience.
- Have software programming experience and proficiency in at least one of Rust or Python.
- Be proficient in Linux/Unix, Git, Docker, and shell scripting.
- Have familiarity with PaaS, infrastructure as code, cloud, and CI tools.
- Demonstrate experience or interest in developer infrastructure and productivity tooling, plus familiarity with testing and observability strategies.
- Be comfortable navigating complex systems, learning new codebases, and supporting automation, reliability, and scalability.
